Modou Jobe, a resident of Kassa Kunda village, last week Thursday testified as second defence witness in a two-count charge of assault and damage of property against Babucarr Touray before Magistrate PM Sarr at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.
Touray is accused of willfully and unlawfully stabbing one Modou Camara with a knife on his right and left hands causing him actual bodily harm on 16th April 2016, at Kassa Kunda village.
He is also accused of willfully and unlawfully damaging the front door glass and wheel tires of one George’s car with registration number: BJL 6111 B, valued at D3000 and D1,600 respectively. He denied any responsibility.
Jobe said in his testimony that he was the one who was fixing the complainant’s car.
Responding to questions from the prosecutor, Sergeant 3368 Ceesay, the witness said the complainant’s sons brought several wheels to him to fix them. He said he is an elderly person and would not lie to the court.
The matter is adjourned to 14th February.
